Gerrard joined Al-Ettifaq in July 2023 and had only signed a new two-year contract with the club in January last year, but a poor run of results sees him out of work once again.

Al-Ettifaq have won just five of their 17 league matches this season, leaving them five points above the relegation zone, resulting in Gerrard's dismissal.

Gerrard oversaw 59 games in charge of the Saudi Arabian outfit across all competitions, winning 23 (D16 L23), ending his time at the club with a win percentage of just 39%.

Of the three clubs the former Liverpool midfielder has managed, only with Aston Villa (32.5%) has he won fewer games. At Rangers, he won 64.8% of his 193 matches at the helm.
