Sikandar Raza was the hero for the Capitals as he pulled the team out of a tricky situation to guide them to the title. Raza joined a set Rovman Powell on the crease in the 17th over when the Capitals needed 38 to win from 19 balls.

Earlier, after being asked to bat first, Desert Vipers had put up a competitive total of 189/5 in 20 overs. While their top scorer was Max Holden who hit 76 off 51, the star of the innings was captain Sam Curran. The English all-rounder smashed an unbeaten 62 off just 33 balls as the Vipers scored 67 runs in the last five overs.
