MANILA, Philippines — Detained televangelist Apollo Quiboloy has been returned to the Pasig City Jail after being hospitalized and treated for community-acquired pneumonia, the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) confirmed.
The Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KJC) founder was first brought to the Rizal Medical Center (RMC) on Jan. 18 after complaining of difficulty in breathing.
Article continues after this advertisement“PDL (Person deprived of liberty) Apollo Quiboloy has been transferred back to BJMP Pasig City Jail Male Dormitory on February 12, 2025, at 9:50 p.m., following weeks of hospitalization due to community-acquired pneumonia,” the BJMP said in a statement.

Quiboloy was transferred from the RMC to a private hospital in Pasig for further treatment.
Article continues after this advertisementOn Jan. 23, the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 159 ordered his transfer to the Pasig City General Hospital (PCGH), where “he was diagnosed with community-acquired pneumonia (moderate risk) and hypertension stage 2,” according to the BJMP.

Article continues after this advertisement“While confined at PCGH, the court granted Quiboloy permission on February 7, 2025 to record a video for his senatorial campaign purposes,” the bureau added.
This law mandates a quarterly tax on foreign DSPs such as video streaming platforms, mobile applications, online advertising spaces, search engine services, and social networks, among others.
The investment promotion agency said their deputy director general for operations Vivian S. Santos represented them during the inauguration and grand opening of Aromate’s landmark branch at the Light Industry and Science Park (LISP) III in Sto. Tomas, Batangas.
The detained televangelist is charged with child abuse, sexual abuse and qualified trafficking.
